It is too funny. These are real pictures found in magazines, newspapers, DVDs, etc. I have to admit there were some I didn't quite get as the captions by the author of the site can be quite cryptic.
Here's an example of what you will find there. This one's from Ralph Lauren.
This is 100% natural, really........ Yeah right!
LMAO! They're suppose to flatter the model, right??!!? They say that magazine ads always put pressure on us ordinary mortals to look like the models. Hmm.. No thanks. Maybe not this time... Thanks for the great link!
ReplyDeleteVery funny...thanks for sharing!

Hello :)
ReplyDeleteJust a quick response to your question of "who" the original author of the post was by...I don't know. I only wish I did, as I wanted to give credit where credit is due and say a proper thank you. A friend had posted this on her site some time back and she didn't know the author either.
Hope things are going well for you :) Many hugs as you start this new chapter.

Wow. That is just wrong. If I was the editor I would be like "who the hell approved this crap!" Then go all Donald Trump, "You're fired." LOL

Hilarious!
ReplyDeleteOH EM GEE! Awesome! This made me laugh out loud. Yep. I totally think she's just a skinny model. Haha. Maybe this is where I'm supposed to wish I looked like her. (Not happening). ;o)

YIKES! A friend asked me to photoshop some headshots for him and I swear all I could think of was I didnt want him to end up on that blog! :) ICLW (even though I subscribe!)
ReplyDeleteI love that blog! It's scary just how much photoshop is used now in magazine. There isn't such a thing as an unretouched photo. Talk about setting people up for unrealistic expectations!
