Questions for Me - FAQ

image from http://www.moneykingboomers.com/frequently-asked-questions/

I am thinking about writing a post about embryo adoption, our journey and just in general about me.  Kind of a "FAQ" post.  If you have been following my blog, you would have already read quite a bit about me.  But I also wanted to provide more info about our infertility journey (including our IVF treatments), our adoption journey, embryo adoption, or anything else that you have wanted to know.

So, here's your chance to ask a question or two.
  Why can't I have a baby?
How many rounds of IVF did I do?
What kinds of medication did I go on?
  Tips for medication?
  Why decide on embryo adoption?
  Is embryo adoption really adoption?
  etc....

Anything goes.... unless I'm not comfortable answering it.  But I'll let you know.  I'm in the process of coming up with some questions myself, so go right ahead and ask.

I'm excited to see what everyone wants to know.

  3. Considering your journey is a unique one, I think this is a great idea!

    Here are my questions:
-What exactly is the process for embryo adoption?
-Is there an option to have the adoption process be open?
-Why chose embryo adoption vs. going the traditional adoption route (I have some idea for this answer, but I'd love for you to expand on it)?
-Are there certain states where embryo adoption is not available and/or is problematic?
-Based on all the bad press about surrogacy recently (I'm thinking about Crystal Kelley), what advise do you have for someone who is considering this route for expanding their family?

  4. Fabulous!
What response from family/friends/others have you received when you talk about embryo adoption?
Are there lots of agencies/clinics that do embryo adoption? Where are they located?
What do you think you'll tell your kids about embryo adoption?

  5. Cool idea.

With the current increasing frequency of transracial adoption, was it difficult for you to decide to limit your choices to the races of you and your husband?

  6. Another one.

Do you mind sharing some of what is in your profile... what the donor families will be presented with?
